Head of Finance – Hong Kong

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join a growing consumer brand company based in Hong Kong. This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will be responsible for building and overseeing the finance function, supporting business growth, and providing clear financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full finance function, including monthly close, management reporting, and financial analysis
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support business planning and decision-making
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to the management team
Oversee tax compliance, statutory reporting, and internal controls
Support inventory costing, margin analysis, and cost control where relevant
Work closely with operations and commercial teams to improve processes and financial efficiency
Build and refine finance systems and reporting tools as the business scales

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum 8–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or similar leadership role
Solid experience in commercial / product-based companies (consumer goods, lifestyle brands, e-commerce, retail, or trading preferred)
Strong hands-on experience with monthly close, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Good understanding of Hong Kong tax and regulatory requirements
Comfortable working in a lean environment and building processes as the company grows
Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin); strong Excel and accounting system skills
